Borussia Dortmund welcomes Borussia M’gladbach
Borussia Dortmund welcomes Borussia M’gladbach at the Signal Iduna Park in a very interestind derby from the 8th round of the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund are in a serious need of points right now, because in the their last three games in the league they made three draws. This is the reason why right now Dortmund are 8th in the standings with 12 points, being four points behind the leader and their next opponent Borussia M’gladbach.
Two weeks ago Lucien Favre’s boys made their third consecutive draw in the Bundesliga. They visited Freiburg, but only won a point after a 2-2 draw. Axel Witsel and Achraf Hakimi’s goals were not enough for the visitors to take the three points, because Manuel Akanji scored himself an own goal just one minute before the end of the regular time.
At this moment Borussia Dortmund are having four draws in their last five games in all competitions, which is something they have to improve really quick.
How we already said, Borussia M’gladbach are currently leading the Bundesliga standings. They have 16 points won so far and one point advantage in front of the second Wolfsburg. In seven games played so far, M’gladbach have a record of five wins, one draw and one loss.
Right now Marco Rose’s team is in a great run of four consecutive wins in the German league. In the previous round M’gladbach hosted Augsburg at home and celebrated a very convincing 5-1 win. Patrick Hermann scored a brace for the hosts, while Denis Zakaria, Alassane Plea and Breel Embolo also put the ball in the net.
This is going to be a spectacular game at the Signal Iduna Park, we don’t have any doubts about that. Borussia Dortmund are desperate to start winning again, but Borussia M’gladbach are the Bundesliga leaders for a reason. We think that this match can be won by both teams, really.
