Swedish Superettan – Falkenberg – Gefle
Falkenberg hosts Gefle in a match from the 12th round of the Swedish Superettan. Let’s see what’s going on with these two teams since the start of the season.
Falkenberg are currently 2nd in the Superettan standings, chasing the top and a return to the Allsvenskan. Right now they have 24 points and a record of 7 wins, 3 draws and just one loss. In their last five games Falkenberg are unbeaten – 3 wins and 2 draws.
In the previous round Falkenberg missed to record a win during the visit to Orgryte. Robin Ostlind gave Falkenberg advantage in the result, but just three minutes before the end Filip Almström Tähti scored and won a point for Orgryte. It was dissapointing for Falkenberg to concede a goal just three minutes before the end, but sometimes this just happens.
Gefle are in a totally different situation now. They are 14th in the Superettan with just 9 points won so far. Their record in the league shows 2 wins, 3 draws and 6 defeats. In their last five games Gefle are without a win – two draws and three losses.
In the previous round Gefle won a point during the 1-1 draw with Helsingborg at home. Erik Tornros scored the only goal for Gefle in the match, but it was enough for the hosts to win a point. Right now Gefle are in a such delicate situation that every point is important for them. If something does not change, they will fight to avoid relegation this season.
This is our take on the Superettan clash between Falkenberg and Gefle. Surely Falkenberg are the big favourite here, especially at home. For them it would be a huge dissapointment if they miss on winning this one. They are the better team and if everything goes well, they shall win.
