Italy – Seria A
Inter hosts Chievo in a match from the 15th round of the Italian Serie A. The game is going to be played on Sunday afternoon at the Stadio San Siro in Milan.
Inter are a different team under the management of Luciano Spalletti. The former Roma manager transformed the Nerrazurri into a title contender, after a few mediocre season for Inter. Even if they don’t win the Serie A title, they shall return to the Champions League, if everything goes smooth for them.
Inter are currently 3rd in the Serie A with 36 points won so far. But the most important thing is that the Nerrazurri will lead the table, if they manage to beat Chievo at home. A win against the Flying Donkeys will allow them to move in front of Napoli and Juventus in the standings. And this is going to be a great moment for the club, because in the last few years Inter was not moving close to the top.
In their last five matches Inter won four times and made a wrong step just once – during the 1-1 draw against Torino at home.
Meanwhile Chievo are also moving well in the league this season. The Flying Donkeys are 9th in the league standings with 20 points won so far. Their record is five wins, five draws and four losses. If they continue like this, the survival shall not be a problem for this. All Chievo have to do is keep their consistency at its current level.
Inter can’t use the suspended Miranda and Roberto Gagliardini, who are not avaliable for the next match. Meanwhile Matias Vecino is doubtful for the game because of a thigh injury.
Chievo are a diffucult team to beat, so Inter have to be at their best to do it. If they underrestimate their opponent, it could become a problem for the Nerrazzuri.
