Norwegian Eliteserien – Bodø / Glimt-Ranheim
Bodø / Glimt didn’t start the new season in the best way possible. They are currently 14th in the Eliteserien, being positioned in the relegation playoff spot of the league. They have 9 points and a record of 2 wins, 3 draws and 6 defeats. In terms of current form, Bodø / Glimt’s last five matches show one win, two draws and two defeats.
In the previous round Bodø / Glimt suffered a 0-1 defeat during the visit to Start. Espen Børufsen scored the only goal in the game after just 7 minutes of play. Until the end of the match Bodø / Glimt didn’t find a way to respond to this.
Ranheim started the new campaign in a much better way. They are currently third in the Eliteserien with 23 points. Right now Ranheim are just one point behind the 2nd Rosenborg and 4 point behind the leader Brann.
Ranheim’s record since the beginning of the season shows 7 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. In their last five games Ranheim are unbeaten and almost flawless – three wins and two draws.
In the previous round Ranheim enjoyed a 3-1 win during the home game against Molde. Babacar Sarr opened the score for Molde, but Mads Reginiussen, Kim Riksvold and Michael Karlsen scored for the home team and decided the game.
Ranheim’s performance is really impressive, because last season this team was playing in the 1. Division. They got promoted and now they are among the best teams in the Eliteserien. The big question is – can they keep this level until the end of the campaign? It’d be amazing if they do it.
