Serie A – Roma-Chievo

Roma welcomes Chievo in a game from the 4th round of the Italian Serie A. Let’s take a look at this clash at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital.

Roma didn’t start the new season in the most convincing way, winning just one of their first three matches. The Wolves kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 win over Torino, which was followed by a 3-3 draw against Atalanta at home. In the previous round Roma suffered their first defeat for the season, losing against Milan at the Stadio San Siro.

The game was going to end with a 1-1 draw, but Milan’s Patrick Cutrone scored a winner in the last few seconds of the match. Before this Franck Kessie opened the score for the Rossoneri, but Federico Fazio managed to equalize for Roma.

It’s never a good feeling to lose like this in the last seconds of a game, but now Roma must get back on their feet and respond to this. Against Chievo they will have a good opportunity to do it on a home ground.

Chievo began their season with two losses and one draw. The Flying Donkeys started the campaign with a -3 points, so now they have -2 points. They lost against Juventus and Fiorentina, and made a 0-0 draw against Empoli at home in the previous round.

Roma are the absolute favourite against Chievo, especially at the Olimpico. The Wolves didn’t have the best possible start of the new season, so now Eusebio Di Francesco’s team have the chance to record a second win since the beginning of the campaign. They are playing against a team they shall beat, if they want to finish in the Top 4 of the Serie A once again. We think that Roma are a huge favorite here.
